About Catharine Kendall Hannoosh
I grew up learning that life feels better when lived close to the green world. Plants have always been my teachers—reminding me to drop in, breathe deeply, and stay curious.
Since 2016, I’ve been studying and practicing herbalism, beginning with simple home remedies for my family. Now I share this love through Green Magic Workshop, where I design hands-on experiences that weave herbal medicine-making, nature connection, and everyday magic.
My background includes a Master’s Degree in Arts Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Oregon, as well as years of experience in the arts—organizing membership programs and events at the International Center of Photography and serving as Senior Program Officer in Awards and Creative Development at the New York Foundation for the Arts.
Blending my experience in early childhood education, herbal studies, and the arts, I bring a playful, sensory-based approach to teaching—rooted in storytelling, creativity, and wonder. Whether working with children or adults, my goal is to help people notice the natural world a little more closely and remember that we’re part of it.
I’m endlessly grateful to my teachers: the plants themselves, the children and grown-ups I learn alongside, and beloved mentors including Robin Rose Bennett, Peeka Trenkle, Sage Maurer, Tara Brach, and Jack Kornfield.
With green gratitude,
Catharine Kendall Hannoosh 🌱
